Meet The Staff


La Plata Campus Staff:

Marcy Gannon, Auxiliary Services Executive Director, marcyg@csmd.edu

The office of Auxiliary Services (AUX) provides essential goods and services to the students and college community through innovative and creative programs.  This area administers the College Store and Children's Learning Center operations, as well as contract oversight for dining and vending services.  The auxiliary units receive no state appropriations and are revenue generating operations.  While striving to enhance the quality of campus life, auxiliary services is committed to high standards of ethical and professional conduct, continuous process improvement and to providing a positive customer experience.

Brian Volack, Textbook Manager, BVolack@csmd.edu

The Text & Tradebook Manager is responsible for the overall textbook management of the college stores, including coordinating the textbook adoption and re-adoption process, ordering of all course materials, maintaining effective and efficient working relationships with faculty, department chairs, publishers, and wholesalers, coordinating semester buybacks as part of the ordering program for textbooks, managing returns to publishers, and performing physical inventory.  Oversees shipping and receiving functions.

Lucia Charpentier, General Operations Manager, luciac@csmd.edu

Under general supervision, the General Operations Manager plans, organizes, and directs a multi-campus college store operation including sales, customer relations, computer information systems, inventory management, and accounting functions; coordinates and directs personnel, communications, and resources to ensure smooth and efficient activities.

Cindy Ellis, General Merchandise Buyer/Webstore Manager, cdellis@csmd.edu

The General Merchandise Buyer/Webstore Manager is responsible for ordering computer hardware/software and general merchandise, training student assistants, coordinating the store front buyback process, creating visual displays,  performing physical inventory, and the general upkeep and maintenance of the College Store website.

Brenda Murphy, Shipping and Receiving Clerk, BMurphy@csmd.edu

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and processing all textbooks, trade books, and general merchandise, stocking shelves and display racks, resolving discrepancies regarding miss-shipments and damaged/defective shipments, completing Bills of Lading for returns and calling for freight pickup, preparing returns to publishers and manufacturers, securing textbook return authorizations from vendors, processing all web-store orders and keeping customers up-to-date on status of orders, processing inter-store transfers, and assisting in performing physical inventory.

The Head Cashier/Sales Floor Leader is responsible for promoting customer service standards, cashiering, training student assistants, assisting with buyback, creating visual displays, stocking shelves, and performing physical inventory.

Leonardtown Campus Staff:

Christopher Reeves, Operations Manager, creeves@csmd.edu

The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Leonardtown College Store, including hiring, supervising, and training of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk, the Clerk, and temporary personnel, promoting customer service standards, cashiering, reconciling of sales deposits and cash receipt vouchers, providing input on textbook adoptions to Text and Trade Book Manager, assisting in resolution of textbook order discrepancies, performing shipping and receiving functions, conducting end-of-term buyback, and performing physical inventory.

The Operations Assistant is responsible for promoting customer service standards, cashiering, performing store opening and closing procedures, assisting with all shipping and receiving functions, including receiving and processing all textbooks, trade books, and general merchandise, stocking shelves, processing web-store orders and keeping customers up-to-date on status of orders, processing inter-store transfers, and assisting with performing physical inventory.

The Head Cashier/Sales Floor Leader is responsible for promoting customer service standards, cashiering, performing store opening and closing procedures, unpacking and verifying shipments, matching invoices to purchase orders and credit memos to pending returns, stocking shelves, posting shelf tags, updating booklists, and assembling stock status reports, assisting with preparing returns to publishers, and assisting with performing physical inventory.

Prince Frederick Campus Staff:
